Overview

This page helps you understand how to add a user in the Finvisage application. As part of the process, you need to add the new user  details on the New page. You can access this New page by clicking the Menu icon on the User page on User Management. Once the details are entered and saved, the new user is added to the users tab. 


Apart from adding a new user, you can also update an existing user by making any changes to it depending on the requirement. You can also lock and unlock a user.



Adding a New User

As part of adding new user, you need to enter the user name, email ID, Login ID along with assigning to the designated supervisor. Apart from this, you can assign the new user to a user group and also define the user role. You can also assign multiple user groups and roles to the new user.


To add a new user


1. On the Side Panel of Finvisage application, click Settings. 

The Settings menu is expanded.

2. On the expanded Settings menuclick User Management.

The User Management page is displayed with Users and User Groups tabs.


3. On the User Management  page, click the Users tab, if it is already not opened by default.


The User page is displayed.


4. On the Usersclick the Menu icon at the right bottom of the page to view the Add button, and then click it.



The New page is displayed.


5. On the New page:


A. In the Name field, enter the new user name.


Note: This field is mandatory.


B. From the Supervisor drop-down box, select the supervisor of the user.



C. In the Email ID field, enter the email ID of the user.


Note: This field is mandatory.


D. In the Login ID field, enter the login ID of the user.


Note: This field is mandatory.


E. From the User Group drop-down box, select the user group to assign the user to the relevant user group.


Note: To assign the user to a user group, you need to first create that user group in the User Group page.


Tip: You can assign a user to multiple groups.


F. In the Roles field, enter the user role.


Tip: You can assign multiple roles to a single user.


G. Click the Create button at the bottom.


The new user is added.



Updating a User 


As part of updating the details of an existing user, you can change user name, supervisor, email Id, Login ID,  account status, lock status, user group, and role. The following instructions help you understand how to update an existing user.


To update an existing user:


1. On the Side Panel of Finvisage application, click Settings. 

The Settings menu is expanded.

2. On the expanded Settings menuclick User Management.

The User Management page is displayed with Users and User Groups tabs.


3. On the User Management  page, click the Users tab, if it is already not opened by default.


The Users page is displayed.


4. On the Users page, click the user whose details you wish to update. See the example image below.


The user details are displayed.


5. On the User Details page, click the click the Menu icon at the right bottom of the page to view the Edit button, and then click it.




The Edit page is displayed.


6. On the Edit page, make any changes, and then click the Update button at the bottom.


Note: Apart from making any basic changes, you can even change the user group and role as well.


The User details were successfully updated message is displayed.




Locking a User 



1. On the User Management  page, click the Users tab, if it is already not opened by default.


The Users page is displayed.


2. On the Users page, click the user whom you wish to lock.


The user details are displayed.


3. On the User Details page, click the click the Menu icon at the right bottom of the page to view the Lock icon button, and then click it.




The user is locked and User status was successfully updated message is displayed.



Unlocking a User 



1. On the User Management  page, click the Users tab, if it is already not opened by default.


The Users page is displayed.


2. On the Users page, click the user whom you wish to unlock.


The user details are displayed.


3. On the User Details page, click the click the Menu icon at the right bottom of the page to view the Unlock icon button, and then click it.




The user is unlocked and User status was successfully updated message is displayed.
