Overview

This page helps you understand the process of adding a new role in the Finvisage application. As part of the process, you can add the new role by specifying its name, description along with assigning features to it on the New page. You can access this New page by clicking the Menu icon on the Role page. Once the details are entered and saved, the new role is added in the Finvisage application. 


Apart from adding a new user, you can also update an existing one by making any changes to it depending on the requirement. 



Adding a New Role 

A role defines the user's access levels to read / write / view a particular module.


The following steps helps you understand how to add a new role along with providing access permissions. 


To add a new role


1. On the Side Panel of Finvisage application, click Settings. 

The Settings menu is expanded.

2. On the expanded Settings menuclick Role.

The Role page is displayed.


3. On the Role page, click the Menu icon at the right bottom of the page to view the Add button, and then click it.



The New page is displayed.


4. On the New page: 


A. In the Name field, enter the Role name.


Note:  Entering Role name is mandatory.


B. In the Description field, enter a description for the new role.


5. In the Assign Features section, provide access permissions. 

To assign any single permission to all the features

If you wish to apply a specific permission namely None, Read, or Write across all featuers, then check the Select All options (see the image below). For example, if you wish to provide a Read permission to a role to read all the features of Finvisage application, then you need to select the Select ALL option corresponding to Read permission. You can do the same process for all the other access permissions. See the image below. 



To assign a mixed set of permissions


If you wish to assign a mixed set of permissions, then you need to select the features individually. For example, you can provide Write permission to Loan facility by selecting Write option. Similarly, you can to provide Read permission to Restructured Debt feature by selecting the Read option. If you don't want to provide any access permission, then you can select the None option. Editing an Existing Role

You can make any change to an existing role. You can change the role name, description, or access permissions depending on the requirement.


The following steps helps you understand how to update an existing role:  


To edit an existing role


1. On the Side Panel of Finvisage application, click Settings. 

The Settings menu is expanded.

2. On the expanded Settings menuclick Role.

The Role page is displayed.


3. On the Role page, click the Edit icon corresponding to the role, which you wish to edit. For example, Admin. See the image below.



The Edit page is displayed.


4. On the Edit page, make the desired changes, and then click the Update button at the bottom.


Tip: You can make any change depending on the requirement. 


The Role was successfully updated message is displayed.
