Overview
This page helps you understand how to add a variation to a market linked debenture in the Finvisage application. As part of adding a variation, you can add its details on the New page. You can access the New page by clicking the Add Variation button on the Market Linked Debenture page.
The below step-by-step instructions describe the process.
Adding a Variation
1. On the Side Panel of Finvisage application, click Liability.
The Liability menu is expanded.
2. On the expanded Liability menu, click Market Linked Debenture.
The Market Linked Debenture page is displayed.
3. On the Market Linked Debenture page, click the External ID of the market linked debenture to which you wish to add a variation.
The Market Linked tab is displayed with the Variations panel.
4. On the Variations panel, click the Menu icon at the bottom to view the Add Variation button, and then click it.
The Variations>>New page is displayed.
5. On the Variations>>New page, enter the variation details. See the below table for field description.
| Field | Instruction |
| Status | This field is grayed out by default displaying Issued and it is not editable. |
| Type/Series | In this field, enter the Type/Series of the variance. |
| ISIN | In this field, enter the ISIN Number of the variance. Note: ISIN stands for International Securities Identification Number. It is a 12 digit code used to identify securities such as debt securities like debentures. |
| Reference Asset | From this drop-down box, select the stock Exchange to which the variation referenced to. Note: Selecting the Reference Asset is mandatory. |
| Allotment Date | From this calendar control, select the Allotment Date of the variance. Note: Specifying Allotment Date is mandatory. |
| Maturity Date | From this calendar control, select the Maturity Date of the variance Note: Specifying Maturity Date is mandatory. |
| Tenure | In this field, enter the Tenure of the variance. |
| Issue Price per Debenture | In this field, enter the Issue Price of the variance. |
| Investment Amount | In this field, enter the investment Amount of the variance. |
| Face Value Per Debenture | In this field, enter the face Value of the of the variance. |
| Face Value of Investment | In this field, enter the face Value of the of the investment. |
| Premium | In this field, enter the face Value of the of the investment. |
| Commission Type | From this drop-down box, select the Commission Type choosing from Absolute or Percentage. |
| Commission | In this field, enter the commission. |
| Principal Protected | From this drop-down box, select Yes or No depending on whether the principal is protected or not. |
| Principal Protected % | In this field, enter percentage of principal that is protected. |
| Initial Level Rounding | From this drop-down box, select the initial level of rounding choosing from Yes or No. |
| Initial Level Rounding Precision | From this drop-down box, select the initial level of rounding precision. |
| Final Level Rounding | From this drop-down box, select the final level of rounding choosing from Yes or No. |
| Final Level Rounding Precision | From this drop-down box, select the final level of rounding choosing from Yes or No. |
