Overview
This page helps you understand how to add covenants to a market linked debenture in the Finvisage application. As part of adding a covenant, you can add its details on the Covenant screen. Once the details are entered, the new covenant is displayed on the Covenants page.
Adding a Covenant to a Variation
1. On the Side Panel of Finvisage application, click Liability.
The Liability menu is expanded.
2. On the expanded Liability menu, click Market Linked Debenture.
The Market Linked Debenture page is displayed.
3. On the Market Linked Debenture page, click the External ID of the market linked debenture to which you wish to add a covenant.
The Market Linked tab is displayed with the Variations panel.
4. In the Variations panel, click the External ID of the variation to which you wish to add a covenant.
The Variation page is displayed.
5. On the Variation page, click the Covenant tab, and then click the Add Covenant button.
The Covenant screen is displayed.
6. On the Covenant screen, enter the Covenant details as shown in the below table.
| Field | Instruction |
| Covenant Template | From this drop-down box, select the Covenant Template choosing from Debt Equity Ratio, Asset Coverage Ratio, Total Assets Value, or Stock Statement. Note: Selecting a covenant template is mandatory. |
| Accountable Person | In this field, enter the person who is accountable for the covenant. Note: Entering Accountable Person is mandatory. |
| Third Party | In this field, enter the third party for the covenant. Note: Entering third party is mandatory. |
| Target Date | From this calendar control, select the target date. Note: Entering Target Date is mandatory. |
| Offset | In this field, enter the offset value. Note: Entering Offset is mandatory. |
| Period | From this drop-down box, select the period choosing from Monthly, Yearly, or Custom Schedule. If Custom Schedule is selected, the Repeat dialog box is displayed. Instructions for using Repeat dialog box 1. From the Frequency drop-down box, select the frequency choosing from Monthly or Yearly. 2. If you wish to set the frequency on a Monthly basis: A. In the Monthly box, specify the frequency by entering the desired number of months. B. If you wish to set the frequency by day, then click the Day of Month button. C. If you wish to set the frequency by week, then click the Day of Week button. D. Click the OK button. The option appears in the Period drop-down box. 3. If you wish to set the frequency on a Yearly basis: A. In the Every box, specify the frequency by entering the desired number of years. B. Click the OK button. The option appears in the Period drop-down box. |
| End Date | From this calendar control, select the end date of the covenant. |
| Additional Info | In the box, enter the additional info, if any. |
7. Click the Create button at the bottom.
The Covenant was successfully created message is displayed and the covenant is displayed on the Covenants page.
