Overview
This page helps you understand how to add a government bond. As part of adding, you need to access the Government Bonds page and enter all the required details. Upon saving, the government bond is added.
The below step-by-step instructions describe the complete process of adding a government bond.
Adding a Government Bond
1. On the Side Panel of Finvisage application, click Asset.
The menu is expanded.
2. On the expanded menu, click Government Bonds. See the image below:
The Government Bonds page is displayed on the right pane.
3. On the Government Bonds page, click the Add Bond button at the page bottom.
The New page is displayed.
3. In the New page section, enter all the required information.

General Information | |
Bond Type | From this drop-down box, select Government. |
External ID | In this field, enter the External ID. Tip: You can enter any number of your choice as an external ID, which is used for identification purpose. |
Bond Name | In this field, enter the bond name. |
Entity | From this drop-down box, select the entity. |
Counterparty | From this drop-down box, select the counterparty. |
Currency | The currency is displayed by default. |
Principal | In this field, enter the principal amount. |
Risk Valuation | In this field, enter the risk valuation. |
Rating | In this field, enter the rating. |
Rating Agency | From this drop-down box, select the risk agency. |
Brokered? | Select this checkbox, if it is brokered. |
Convertible? | Select this checkbox, if it is convertible. |
Tradeable? | Select this checkbox, if it is tradeable. |
Bond Term Settings | |
Value Date | The current date is displayed by default. If required, you can change it. |
Years | In this field, enter the bond term in years. |
Months | In this field, enter the bond term in months. |
Days | In this field, enter the bond term in days. |
Effective Interest Rate Schedules | |
New Effective Interest Rate Schedule button | Click this button to view the Effective Interest Rate Schedule fields. |
Effective Interest Date | The current date is displayed by default. If required, you can change it. |
Interest Rate Type | From this drop-down box, select the interest type choosing from Fixed or Floating. |
Interest Benchmark | From this drop-down box, select the interest benchmark. |
Interest Spread (% p.a.) | In this field, enter the interest spread (% p.a.) |
TDS Schedules | |
New TDS Schedule button | Click this button to view the TDS field. |
Effective Date | In this field, enter the TDS. |
Fields for Interest Calculation | |
Days in a Year Type | From this drop-down box, select the Days in a Year Type choosing from Actual days in a year or Constant days. |
Use First Day for Calculation | Select this checkbox if you wish to use the first day for calculation. |
Use Last Day for Calculation | Select this checkbox if you wish to use the last day for calculation. |
Additional Info | In this box, enter the additional info. |
5. Finally, click the Create button.
The government bond is added.
